Pacific Trails Resort

Our Story

Pacific Trails Resort began as a simple family campground on the California North Coast. Over time it has grown into a quiet retreat where guests sleep in luxury yurts, hike forest trails, paddle along the coast, and watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean.

From Campground to Coastal Retreat

More than twenty years ago, the land where Pacific Trails stands today was a small, rustic campground with a few rough trails and a handful of loyal visitors. The founders fell in love with the rocky shoreline, the tall coastal trees, and the way the fog rolled in each morning. They imagined a place where guests could enjoy that same beauty with a bit more comfort.

Little by little, they rebuilt the campground into a retreat. Trails were restored and connected to the nearby state park. Ocean kayaks were added so guests could experience the coastline from the water. A cozy lodge was built for shared meals, warm drinks, and evenings by the fire.

Living with the Land

From the beginning, Pacific Trails has been guided by a simple idea: respect the coast and share it carefully. The yurts are raised off the ground to protect native plants, the hiking paths follow existing game trails where possible, and guided bird watching trips focus on observing wildlife without disturbing it.

Today, our guests come here to slow down, breathe in the ocean air, and reconnect with the outdoors. Whether you spend your day hiking, kayaking, bird watching, or relaxing in the lodge, our goal is to make the coastline feel like a second home.
